Listening to the Audio Version of this novel is a blast!! It was narrated in part by Neil Patrick Harris, playing Cliff Iverson, a brilliant and well-educated engineer who was fired and defamed by a nefarious boss. In particular, the boss redesigned an aircraft in a way that will kill at least one plane load of people because he removed the expensive backup safety mechanism. Cliff suspects this man of even more sinister behavior and he decides to use his free time to murder him. Because Cliff is not so good at carrying out his plans, he eventually finds himself at the McMaster’s Conservatory, a resort like school at a very secret location that is dedicated to training people with an ethical reason in the art of how to kill (delete)someone. One’s thesis is a successful deletion.
Naturally, this means that all of Cliff’s classmates are learning how to carry out the crime. The personalities, their targets, and the school’s educational methods from start to finish are amusing. This was particularly fun as an audiobook with Simon Vance narrating in a proper British accent and Neil Patrick Harris bringing us the American. Definitely recommend!
